Semi-Annual Garage Sale
One of our largest fund raisers is our semi-annual garage sale. If you would like to donate some household items for an upcoming garage sale, please contact us. These donations translate immediately into the funding required for veterinary and housing costs for our pets.
Dates: Sales are always held April and October. The next sale dates are Saturday and Sunday, October 16 and 17, 2010. Sales start at 9:00 a.m. and end at 5:00 p.m.
Donations: Donations for the sales are accepted two days prior to each sale at Wild West City between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. The next drop off days are Thursday and Friday, October 14 and 15, 2010. Donations are accepted year round at our locked trailer between the Byram Pound and the Recycling Dept. in Byram's municipal complex. These year round donations must be coordinated with Lois M. Koch at a mutually convenient date and time.
We accept all donations EXCEPT: large exercise equipment, encyclopedias, college text books, TV's, air conditioners, computers, paints, chemicals, tires and artificial Christmas trees. Artificial Christmas trees are gratefully accepted at The Raptor Trust in Millington, NJ for the large birds to nest in.
All donations should be in manageable-size boxes and any breakables wrapped in newspaper to prevent breakage. Boxes should be full, if possible, as boxes need to be stacked to utilize all space in our storage trailer. Please box similar items (such as Books, CDs, and videos) together. Clothing is accepted; if on a hanger, that would be a big help! Jewelry is a big seller (costume or otherwise). We also accept furniture, although anything big needs to be brought to the sale on the two days we accept donations. Please identify contents of boxes by printing on the outside of the box.
We need: Folding tables large and small, canopies, plastic knives, forks and spoons and paper products to use for the food we provide to the volunteers.
Sales are always held (rain or shine) and new volunteers are always welcome!
